Monthly Art Exhibitions at The Clayton Center
CVA hosts 2-dimensional original art exhibits throughout the year at The Clayton Center, the hub for the Town Hall, Public events and concerts for the town of Clayton. The gallery is open during regular business hours. The public is invited to the free artists reception which is held at the beginning of each month. Clayton Visual Arts seeks artists for the July 2024-June 2025 monthly exhibit season held in the main lobby of The Clayton Center. We accept original artwork in any 2-dimensional media.
Interested artists and artist-groups are invited to apply by
1. Completing application
2. Submitting resume and image portfolio
3. Paying non-refundable $10 application fee
Deadline: 5:00pm, March 22, 2024.
- All items (resume, portfolio of images, application, and fee) must be received no later than 5:00pm, Friday, March 22, 2024.
- You must live within reasonable driving distance of Clayton, as all art must be delivered and picked up in person. We do not accept shipped artwork.
- Applicants will be notified of their status in early April 2024. Selected applicants will be provided a contract detailing terms and conditions for exhibiting at the Clayton Center. A $35.00 exhibit fee ($25.00 for CVA members) is due at the time of execution of the contract. The exhibit fee is $200 for groups, such as a class, club, or art society.
- Exhibits typically feature 50-60 pieces and are scheduled by calendar months. (For shows of multiple artists the amount would be less, i.e. 2 artists 20-25 each, 3 artists 12 -15, large groups fewer.) Shows may be multi-person shows and the number of pieces for each artist will be determined by the Exhibits Committee.
- If you had a show with us in 2023 or are scheduled for one in the first half of 2024, please do not apply for another show at this time; please wait at least a year to apply again.
