Rules and Eligibility

1. The exhibiting artist must be a CVA member in good standing to participate in the show. (Join or Renew HERE).
2. Entry is open to all 2-dimensional mediums.
3. CVA reserves the right to disqualify any work that does not meet generally accepted community standards of good taste.
4. CVA will accept one entry from each artist. (See #5).
5. You may submit 2 pieces. The second piece will only be accepted if there is available gallery space. (You will be notified after the deadline if your second piece is needed).
6. Artwork does not need to be for sale. NFS accepted.
7. Artwork must be the original work of the exhibiting artist.
8. The artwork must be wired (no sawtooth hangers) and ready to hang; cannot exceed 35 pounds.
9. Artwork must be labeled on the back with title, artist name, medium, and price. 
10. Artwork must be hand delivered. No mailed art will be accepted.
11. CVA and The Clayton Center are not responsible for loss or damage of artwork. Artists should insure their work if they desire.
12. No changes to title and/or price or late entries will be accepted after the Aug 25 deadline. No exceptions. 
13. Exhibition wall title cards will be created by CVA, based on submitted information.

• Saturday, August 22 Last day to mail in entry form. Forms postmarked after Aug 22 will not be accepted. 
• Tuesday, August 25 – Deadline for online entry and/or changes to submitted entries.
• Tuesday Sept 1 – 9:00-10:00am. Deliver artwork to The Clayton Center, 111 E. Second St., Clayton, NC. Check-in with Special Events Committee member.
• Thursday, Sept 3 – Free reception 6:00-7:30pm.
• Thursday, Oct 1 – Pick up artwork before 10:00am.

Sales

Clayton Visual Arts handles art sales from this exhibit. CVA has discounted the commission to 10% on all sales for this show only. Artists are responsible for sales tax on works sold.
